Binu Rashad: Success Story

Providing Orphans with Hope

The loss of a father is a painful memory, especially as a child. In 2010, Binu Rashad became an orphan as an elementary school-aged child.

His mother was shattered and completely lost. She couldn’t bear the loss. The shock left her in emotional and financial stress, and she needed money to support her family. She started working as a Daily Wage Laborer to provide food on the table and clothes on their backs.

But a wage like hers could only barely get them by and survive. What that wage couldn’t do was provide Binu with a quality education.

In 2012, at a low point in Binu’s family’s life, Human Concern International reached out with the Sponsorship Program. This support became a turning point in the Rashad family’s life.

And they have never looked back since.

Binu is now in 9th grade and pursuing his passions, something he did not think was possible after his father’s passing.

His confidence and positive attitude towards life grew as he started to achieve good grades in school. Not only is Binu doing well in his studies, but he also shines in his extracurricular activities.

“Thank you once again for your kindness, generosity, time and effort that you put into making my life better.” – Binu Rashad.

Binu wishes to become a doctor one day. He hopes that with Human Concern International’s support, he can continue to work towards achieving this goal.

We believe Binu Rashad will accomplish his dreams, thanks to generous sponsors like you through HCI’s Sponsorship Program.

With each generous donation, you are changing and shaping the lives of orphans and children forever.

HCI has been proudly serving the Muslim community for 40 years, and through your generosity and support, our programs are continuously improving the lives of many vulnerable people. Each donation made enables us to further the mission of taking impoverished people from crisis to sustainability.
