Under CRA policies both spouses are treated as part of one household, as such you do not need to have both persons names on your tax receipt, either one is acceptable for your tax return filing. Moreover, a tax receipt can only be issued to the true donor who made the donation.

Canada Helps issues tax receipts for donations made to HCI on their platform. Please reach out to CanadaHelps with your request.

 Yes, all eligible donations made on LaunchGood will receive a tax receipt. Please note that donations made anonymously on the platform are not tax receipted. In case a donation was made anonymously in error and now requires a tax receipt please reach out at [email protected] with donation receipt(s) and your full contact information.

You will receive a consolidated tax receipt for all your donations made throughout the year. HCI does not issue tax receipts per donation.

Though the government has announced the extension, it is yet to be passed by the parliament in order to be implemented.

As of today, your consolidated 2024 Tax Receipt will only include donations made between Jan 01, 2024 and Dec 31, 2024. Considerations will be made once the implementation of the extension takes place.
