From visiting families in need to distribute home care packages, to hosting fun-filled “Teddy Bear Picnics” and “Superhero Picnics” for orphaned children, and organizing special events for cancer patients, your volunteer work will leave a lasting impact on the community.
But that’s not all – you’ll also have the chance to immerse yourself in the local culture, history, and food of Tunisia. Fundraising Goal
As a volunteer, you are expected to raise the required amount of funds to participate in the program. These funds will be used to support all the on-ground projects in Tunisia that you will be participating in.

Payment Plan
- The program fee policy for this trip is designed to make the trip more affordable for participants. To achieve this, the policy includes a nonrefundable deposit and two additional installments.
- The deposit is required to secure a spot on the trip and will be used to cover the cost of initial expenses such as reservations. The two additional installments are due on specific dates, as outlined in the program structure.
- If a participant fails to pay an installment on the due date, they will be immediately removed from the trip. This is intended to ensure that the cost of the trip is paid in full and that all participants have the necessary funds to participate.
Refund Policy
- The program fee policy also includes a refund policy, which states that the last day to request a refund is AUGUST 21st. This means that if a participant decides to withdraw from the trip and wants a refund, they must make their request ON OR BEFORE AUGUST 21st.
- Any refund requests made after this date will not be honored. This policy is in place to ensure that the trip organizers have enough time to make necessary adjustments and to ensure fairness to all participants who have made timely payments

Day 1
- Arrive at Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) to board your flight to Tunisia, and begin your adventure!
Day 2
- Embark on a life-changing adventure as you arrive in Tunis. Be greeted by our friendly team and embark on a scenic journey to the breathtaking city of Sousse. Settle in and join the team for an exciting dinner and plan for the impactful days ahead. Your journey has just begun! (D*)
Day 3
- Rise and shine with a delicious breakfast, then get pumped for the official program overview and how you’ll be making a real impact in the lives of families and orphans. Roll up your sleeves and dive into the preparations for distributing essential items, feeling a sense of fulfillment with every step. Recharge with a tasty lunch and an evening team dinner in Monastir. (B,L,D*)
Day 4
- Get ready for a day of adventure and impact! Start your day with a delicious breakfast and prepare to make a real difference in the lives of families in Sousse. As you distribute essential home-care packages, you will have the opportunity to connect with local community members and learn about their culture. Take a break for a traditional lunch and Jummah prayer at a local mosque. Then, immerse yourself in the rich history of Sousse by taking a walking tour through the Medina and visiting the scenic Harbour for dinner. (B,L,D*)
Day 5
- Get ready for a day filled with adventure, kindness, and impact! Start your day with a delicious breakfast and set out to an olive farm where you host selected patients for a one-of-a-kind lunch and a magical Teddy Bear Picnic for the orphans. After a fulfilling day, you will return to the hotel and end the day with a team dinner in the historic Monastir Medina (B,L,D*)
Day 6
- Get ready for an action-packed and fun-filled day! Start your morning with a delicious breakfast then hit the road and embark on a journey to Mahdia, where you will takepart in a Superhero Picnic for orphans, filled with tons of activities. As the day comes to a close, you will depart to the beautiful city of Sfax and head out on a walking tour of the Medina of Sfax before ending the day with a team dinner in the Medina.(B,L,D*)
Day 7
- Embark on an adventure to the heart of the Sahara desert! After a delicious lunch in the city of Douz, take a journey deep into the Sahara desert. Experience the thrill of sleeping under the stars in a traditional desert tent, and enjoy dinner with your fellow volunteers. (B,L,D*)
Day 8
- Wake up to the stunning desert landscape and prepare for a day of camel riding and ATVing through the desert dunes.Take a dip in the refreshing oasis and enjoy a delicious lunch. After a day of exciting activities, head to a traditional Amazigh cave home for a unique and unforgettable stay. End the day with a delicious dinner at the hotel. (B,L,D*)
Day 9
- Start your morning with a delicious breakfast before departing for the bustling city of Sfax to enjoy a delicious lunch before heading to the vibrant city of Tunis. You will end the day with a final farewell team dinner with your fellow volunteers. (B,L,D*)
Day 10
- The final day of the adventure is your personal free day in Tunisia. You can explore the city at your own pace and visit the sights and places that interest you the most. This day is flexible, and you have the freedom to plan your own itinerary. Keep in mind that lunch and dinner are not included, so you can choose where to eat and what to try. Enjoy your last day in Tunis and make it a memorable one! (B*)

- Today marks the end of an unforgettable journey in Tunisia. Take one last look at the beautiful city, as you say goodbye and prepare for your departure back to Montreal. Safe travels! (B*)

The program fee for the discovery trips are designed to cover all the necessary costs for participants to have a successful and fulfilling trip. Specifically, the program fee includes the following:
Flight:
The program fee covers the cost of your round-trip flight from the specified departure location. This means that HCI will arrange and pay for your flight from your specified departure location to the destination country, and back to your departure location.
Trips to Tunisia:
Departure from Montreal, Quebec (YUL)
Trips to Turkiye:
Departure from Toronto, Ontario (YYZ)
Accommodation:
The program fee covers the cost of shared accommodation. This means that you will be sharing a room with 1-3 other participants during the trip (same gender). The accommodation will be pre-arranged by the organization and included in the program fee.
Meals:
The program fee covers specified meals. This means that certain meals during the trip will be provided by HCI and included in the program fee. You are informed about which meals are covered, and any additional meals will be your own responsibility.
Activities:
The program fee covers all planned activities. This means that any volunteer activities, cultural events, and excursions planned as part of the itinerary will be organized by HCI and included in the program fee.
Local Transportation:
The program fee covers any local transportation that is necessary for the volunteer activities and planned itinerary.
Please note that the program fee does not cover any additional expenses such as personal shopping, travel outside of the planned itinerary, entry visas, etc. These expenses will be the responsibility of the participant.
