Sudan in a State of Emergency: Help us deliver relief.
Already facing multiple crises, Sudan is challenged with a severe flood impacting 560,000 people. 56,000 homes have been damaged with an additional 55,000 completely destroyed.
Sudan declared a national state of emergency and designated the country a natural disaster zone. The most heavily impacted region affected by the flooding in Sudan is the Khartoum region where over 102,000 people have been severely impacted.
With widespread population displacement, food, water, sanitation and hygiene supplies and temporary shelter are needed to deliver relief to those affected.
In response, Human Concern International is providing lifesaving emergency assistance to families in need across Sudan. Our intervention includes the following support services: Emergency Shelters, Food Parcels, and Hygiene Kits.
Emergency Shelters (Tents): $150 CAD
Each shelter kit contains a tent, blankets, mosquito nets and carpets. Each shelter kit will support the protection needs of a household who has been internally displaced by the flooding.
Food Parcels: $70 CAD
Each food package contains staple items such as flour, sugar, rice, lentils and vegetable oil. Each food package will support the nutritional needs of a household for one month.
Hygiene Kits: $30 CAD
Each hygiene kit contains items such as gloves, face masks, hand sanitizer, and dietary supplements. Each hygiene kit will support a single household for a period of one month.
HCI has been proudly serving the Muslim community for 40 years, and through your generosity and support, our programs are continuously improving the lives of many vulnerable people. Each donation made enables us to further the mission of taking impoverished people from crisis to sustainability.
