The situation in Bangladesh is the most critical right now.
Seven consecutive days of exceptional monsoon rainfall triggered catastrophic flooding and landslides across southeastern and northeastern Bangladesh – Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Bandarban, Rangamati, Khagrachhari, and beyond. Rivers broke their banks. Highways disappeared under water. A key bridge collapsed, severing entire districts from the rest of the country.
In the Rohingya refugee camps of Cox’s Bazar, landslides tore through hillside shelters built from bamboo and tarpaulin. Communities that were already living on the edge had the little they had taken from them overnight.

Damaged roads and severed highway links mean many communities cannot be reached by land. Families in Bandarban, Lama, and Alikadam are cut off entirely. In the camps, one latrine is shared between twenty households. Waterlogging and soil erosion are making shelters collapse.
Food, safe water, shelter materials, and medical support are urgently needed, and right now, there is not enough of any of it.
Pakistan has not yet been hit by this season’s major flooding. But experience has taught us not to wait.
Last year, catastrophic monsoon floods swept through Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan, destroying over 1,900 homes, taking more than 650 lives, and displacing thousands who were still recovering from the year before that. Entire villages were submerged. Roads and bridges were washed away. Families who had rebuilt once had to start over again from nothing.
Pakistan faces this cycle every single year. It is not a question of whether the floods will come, it is a question of whether the response will be ready when they do.
HCI is not waiting for the crisis to be declared. We are pre-positioning supplies, coordinating with field teams, and ensuring that the moment floodwaters rise, we are already there. Because in 46 years of emergency response, we have learned that the families who survive are the ones whose aid arrives in hours, not weeks.
The moment a crisis hits, HCI mobilizes. We work with trusted local partners and field teams who know these communities, speak the language, and can reach places where many agencies cannot. In Bangladesh right now, our partner teams are conducting house-to-house visits in the Rohingya camps, assessing the most vulnerable families, and preparing for immediate distribution.
Every dollar raised goes toward getting aid into the hands of the people who need it most. Here is what we are delivering:
Dry food supplies and ready-to-eat packs for families who have lost everything. Because hunger does not pause for a flood to recede.
Clean water distribution and purification supplies for communities where every available source has been contaminated by floodwater.
Bamboo, tarpaulin, rope, binding wire, and geobags to reinforce and repair shelters at risk of collapse, prioritized for the most vulnerable families in the Rohingya camps where structures are already dangerously weakened.
Essential hygiene supplies and oral saline reaching households directly. The illnesses that follow a flood can be just as deadly as the flood itself.
The floods have stripped these families of everything they built. But they have not stripped them of their dignity, and your Sadaqah is how we protect that.
