This page is for donors who want to see how their Ramadan giving creates real impact. It outlines how Ramadan and Zakat al-Fitr donations were delivered during Ramadan 2025, and how that support continues to shape Human Concern International’s humanitarian work across crisis-affected communities worldwide. During Ramadan 2025, the generosity of our supporters allowed us to respond where needs were most urgent, reaching families, children, and individuals with food, healthcare, education, and essential services delivered with dignity and compassion.
Ramadan is always a sacred pause in the year. A time when intention matters just as much as action. In 2025, the generosity of our donors reached far beyond what numbers alone can explain. Across borders, crises, and communities, your trust allowed us to respond with dignity, care, and consistency, even in places where hope feels fragile.
During Ramadan and Zakat al-Fitr 2025, Human Concern International implemented lifesaving programs across 11 countries, reaching 327,617 vulnerable people with food, care, education, and essential services. Every initiative was guided by one principle: serving people not as statistics, but as families, children, and individuals deserving compassion and respect
What follows is a reflection of that impact, and how your continued support allows us to carry it forward.
Hunger does not pause for Ramadan. In many regions, it deepens. This is why food security remains at the heart of our Ramadan response. In 2025, your donations helped our food bank program to provide nutritious food support to 299,998 people across 11 countries, including 46,100 meals funded through Zakat al-Fitr alone.
Each food pack was carefully prepared to match local dietary needs and cultural preferences. Families received staples such as rice, flour, lentils, oil, dates, vegetables, protein sources, and other essentials, enough to sustain households with dignity during the holy month.
The largest share of this support reached families facing active crises:
Support also reached communities often overlooked, including families in Pakistan, Sudan, Kenya, Bangladesh, Jordan, Bosnia, and even vulnerable households in Canada, where 61,325 people received food assistance.
When donors give during Ramadan, they are not simply filling plates. They are easing worry, restoring stability, and allowing families to focus on worship rather than survival. Your continued support allows us to prepare earlier, source responsibly, and reach even more families in the coming Ramadan.
Children experience hardship differently. Hunger, displacement, and loss often leave invisible scars. During Ramadan 2025, your generosity enabled us to sponsor 2,987 children through our Child Sponsorship Program, while also supporting 13,650 indirect beneficiaries, siblings, caregivers, and extended family members who rely on that stability.
Sponsored children received Eid clothing, toys, food assistance, hygiene kits, and nutritional support. But beyond items, they received reassurance that someone, somewhere, remembered them.
In Gaza, where loss has become overwhelming, 1,000 orphaned children received critical support, alongside 2,577 family members. Psychosocial activities helped children process trauma, reconnect with peers, and reclaim moments of childhood.
Across other regions, children were supported as follows:
Every sponsorship is a long-term promise. When donors continue their support beyond Ramadan, children receive stability that carries them through the entire year, and often changes the course of their future.
Illness and displacement do not pause for holy months. In 2025, your Ramadan donations helped us deliver critical healthcare and psychosocial support to families affected by conflict and displacement, particularly in Gaza, Syria, Turkiye, Egypt, and Bosnia.
These services were delivered in collaboration with trusted medical partners, including MedGlobal, ensuring care met professional and ethical standards.
Healthcare restores more than physical health. It gives families the strength to rebuild. Continued donor support enables us to sustain these programs long after the headlines fade.
Education is not a luxury in crisis; it is a lifeline. Across Syria, Turkiye, Egypt, Gaza, and Pakistan, your Ramadan donations supported education programs that reached thousands of students and families.
Education not only shapes students, but it also stabilizes families and strengthens entire communities. Your continued giving ensures these programs remain consistent, even during prolonged crises.
The need does not end with Eid. As we move forward, your generosity positions us to reach an additional 707,100 people through programs focused on clean water, food security, education, livelihoods, child sponsorship, and emergency relief.
With continued donor support, we aim to:
Every Ramadan donation is both immediate relief and future preparation. It allows us to respond faster, plan better, and serve with dignity.
As we prepare for Ramadan 2026, your trust remains the foundation of everything we do. Together, we will continue to transform compassion into lasting impact, one family, one child, and one community at a time.
