In an exclusive Canada-wide cinema tour, Human Concern International, in partnership with Red Face Films, will be hosting viewings of the insightful documentary, The Balance – The Rise of the Islamic Entertainment Industry.
The Balance will premiere in Canada in June and provides a unique insight into the rise of the Islamic entertainment industry, from humble and difficult beginnings, to the global multi billion-dollar industry it is today. The film is directed by award-winning director Abrar Hussain from Red Face Films.
His previous work has included the awe-inspiring, One Day in the Haram, and the majestic One Night in Al Aqsa, bringing exclusive access and never-before seen footage from two of the most sacred Muslim institutions. The Balance is set to be equally as insightful, spiritual and thought-provoking.
The Balance not only sheds light on the highs and lows of the Islamic entertainment industry, with all the glitz and glam we see, but it also focuses on the dark side of fame and success. Abrar Hussain - Directors Bio
Abrar Hussain is British Muslim writer, producer and director. He has directed films all over the world and is credited as the producer and director of the award winning films One Day in The Haram and One Night in Al Aqsa.
His films have been watched globally by an audience of over 80 million+ people and growing, and have been distributed via national theatrical releases, national terrestrial TV stations, airlines, and major VOD platforms such as Amazon Prime and Apple TV.
In mid-2015 Hussain re-located to Saudi Arabia, where he produced television shows for Saudi 1 as well as a host of other media projects. His TV series with Sheikh Salah Mugamski was the top ranking Ramadan television show in Saudi Arabia in 2017.
Abrar is a multi award winning producer, member of Directors UK and a Creative and Cultural Industries consultant for GLG Group in Saudi Arabia.
